Plant a tree

You can make a positive change to the environment without an extra cost

One conservation achievement builds on another despite the differences and distances. It doesn't always cost money to conserve the environment but it only costs the love for the environment and choice. The low cost conservation approaches are most successful. Therefore, it is every ones duty to make a green world.

Ruboni community and Rain forest and Community Tours are partnering with well wishers to make a green world. Offsetting your carbon footprint is not as hard as you already think. Now we make it easy for you, just do one or more of the following five options:

  1. Telling three people about this project and or sending a piece of advice to the project management through our contacts. We believe that not only money works but also most important is exchange of skills and knowledge across the globe. The more this project is published, the better it can get consultation and community motivation.

  2. Visiting Ruboni community camp through our booking sheet or any other tour operator. All the money made by Ruboni community camp is invested in community development and conservation projects. During this visit you will even have an opportunity to visit the tree nursery and the forest or learn more about the forest conservation project.

  3. Sponsoring a tree in the community forest. Each seedling can be sponsored from buying a seedling and its planting/maintenance to the time it is one meter high. This will cost 1PS per seedling. A picture of the seedling will be send while in the nursery and again after one year after planting it.

  4. Taking your trip to Uganda with Rainforest and community tours. Every trip taken through this websites inquiry page will contribute payment for one month maintenance of the tree nursery and indigenous seedlings already planted. A picture of your trees will be sent to you

  5. Buying an acre of endangered forest land. The community has identified the endangered forest outside the Rwenzori mountains national park. Each acre costs 200 to 300 Euros basing on the exchange rate. A certificate will be issued to the buyer, a picture of the land and a buying contract sent after purchase.

We have proudly received support from the following partners and well wishers towards the forest conservation project;
